Case study · Publishing & E-Commerce

A comics universe with a store to match.

Rippaverse is an independent comics publisher selling books, merch, and campaign pre-orders to a passionate fanbase. We rebuilt their platform from a page-builder theme into a custom WooCommerce stack — and keep building it.

The challenge

A real commerce operation, on borrowed rails.

Rippaverse launches campaigns the way bigger publishers launch seasons — pre-orders, limited editions, bundles, and a store that has to hold up when a new book drops and the fans all show up at once.

The original page-builder site wasn't built for that. Every custom feature fought the theme, and the checkout, campaigns, and member perks the business needed had nowhere to live.

What we did

Replatform once, then keep shipping.

01 / Replatform

A custom theme on a modern WordPress stack

We moved the site off the page builder onto a version-controlled, custom WooCommerce theme — faster pages, and a codebase we can extend instead of fight.

E-Commerce
02 / Campaign commerce

Pre-order campaigns and collection pages

Custom campaign and collection pages with live sales goals, countdowns, and pre-order flows — the machinery behind every book launch.

03 / Keep them coming back

Store credit, memberships, and loyalty

We build and maintain the systems that reward regulars — the Hero Stash store-credit program, membership perks, and the checkout logic that ties it together.

Custom Software

Your project, next

Running a store that outgrew its site?

If every new feature is a fight with your theme, it's time for rails that were built for the load.
